The newly rebranded DCC doesn’t believe in letting the grass grow apart that is for the Getaway Garden that nestles alongside the counselling centre at Horizon House, Gordon Road, Whitfield.

The Getaway Garden designated as ‘a place where people and plants grow’ was inaugurated by Christopher Biggins, Patron of DCC on 31 May 2023, since then it has matured with the help of regular volunteer helpers who derive pleasure, solace and enjoyment tending flowers, fruit and vegetables.

The sheer pleasure on the face of helpers is palpable as the garden provides an ideal environment adjacent to the counselling centre, which DCC provides for the benefit of all.
