Employer Services

We strongly believe that spending an organisations time and money on employee well-being is a clear demonstration of duty of care to its employees and can help to reduce absentee rates.

DCC provides Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) for organisations in the Public, Private and Voluntary sectors.

Counselling

Working with employers, human resources departments and occupational health providers we are able to offer short term, independent and confidential therapy across the United Kingdom, intended to help employees deal with personal problems that might adversely affect their work performance, health and well being.

Counsellors do not give advice, instead they offer a non-judgemental service to help each client find a way forward.

Our counsellors take an integrative approach to these sessions, in which they do not use just one type of counselling and can adapt their style to best suit the employee and issue presented with. We can offer a range of therapies, not limited to but including:

  • Bereavement  counselling
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Group Work
  • Mindfulness
  • Personal Development Coaching
  • Solution focused therapy

They can work with issues such as:

  • Alcohol Issues
  • Anger management
  • Bereavement issues
  • Bullying and harassment
  • Depression – mild or moderate
  • Domestic Violence
  • Emotional difficulties stemming from ill-health
  • Health anxiety

Timely and periodic reports will be provided to the customer. All data is compiled in aggregate form to ensure the confidentiality of employees. These reports will provide qualitative interpretation of the data, review of service delivery, analysis of activity and summary of customer satisfaction.  These reviews also allow the customer to track trends and proactively address developing situations before they become problems for the organisation.

Training and Development

Our experienced trainers work with your management team to build a positive and healthy culture in your organisation.

Through workshops, we offer training on a number of topics including:

  • Building resilience for managers
  • Managing sensitive conversations
  • Managing Stress in the organisation
  • Developing a resilient organisation
  • Effective listening skills
  • Bespoke courses

Sessions can be tailored depending on the number of attendees, skills of the delegates and roles within the organisation.

Mediation

We can also provide impartial and confidential conflict resolution and mediation services to support organisations with internal disputes.

Mediation is a conflict resolution strategy to help two parties to communicate with each other in a structured process with help of an independent third party so that they can work towards resolving their conflict.

Professional Supervision

This is a facilitated discussion with an experienced clinician that provides employees with a confidential forum for reflective learning and solution-focused outcomes. It can support employees with building personal resilience and developing skills for coping in context of an emotionally and mentally demanding job.

Management Support

DCC recognises the importance of provision of support to all managers where there are issues around performance, sickness absence, alleged bullying and harassment or simply if advice is required regarding a specific incident or issue.

Access to a DCC manager is usually immediately available regardless of whether a full contract or an ad hoc service is provided to the employer.

Our rates for employer’s packages are highly competitive and can be bespoke to your organisation. If you would like more information on our employer services please contact the team.
